A Day on the snowy Lake Saimaa: plow a nest for a rare seal, Nestorinranta

Spend a day on Lake Saimaa with an eLyly snowmobile and plow a nest for a rare saimaa ringed seal with Arto, the guide of Lakeland GTE.

Stay at the comfortable Villa Hauki for 2 nights, have a Finnish sauna with ice swimming or a jacuzzi. Full board. Also gluten-free and vegan meals on request.

Book at least 5 days in advance. After booking, we will make sure that the excursion will be a success. You will soon receive a message confirming the excursion or suggesting to change the dates if, due to weather or other circumstances, the excursion is not possible on the dates you have ordered. You are not yet bound by your booking. Only after confirmation will payment be agreed.

Please note: snowscooters are not suitable for small children or people with disabilities. Please take warm clothes and sturdy shoes.

Programme:

1. Day

• Arrival after 16:00 and accommodation at Villa Hauki

• If you wish, it is possible to take a sauna already now in the cottage, but you have to heat it by yourself

• Day 2

• Breakfast at the cottage (brought at the agreed time; fresh juice, coffee/tea, yoghurt, bread roll, fruit, small sweet).

• Getting to know the eLyly. Departure to the ice with eLyly-scooters from the cottage with Arto Keinänen from Lakeland GTE.

• Packed lunch at a campfire place (Karelian pie, grilled sausages, fruit, juice).

• Return to Villa Hauki by eLyly with Arto.

• Afternoon coffee/tea at Villa Hauki (brought at the agreed time: coffee/tea, coffee bread)

• Nestor's sauna experience at an agreed time on the next door, jacuzzi and, if desired, ice swimming

• Dinner at a tipi-like hut (starter soup, entrecote or salmon or fried mushrooms, baked root vegetables, salad, dessert). Wine and beer etc. drinks for extra fee.

Day 3

• Breakfast in the cottage (brought, as on previous morning)

• Check-out of the cottage no later than 12 noon.

If you have enough energy, you can also have a trip to the themed nature paths of Nestorinranta. You can borrow snowshoes from Nestorinranta for free.
