Yes! The Saimaa ringed seal lives in Lake Saimaa throughout the year, and there is always a possibility of encountering one during a wildlife cruise.
However, seal watching in late summer and autumn is different from spring.
In May, seals often rest on shoreline rocks during their annual moulting season. Later in the year, they spend more time in the water, so sightings are less predictable.
During our cruises, we explore areas where seals are known to live and keep a careful lookout for wildlife.
Seal sightings are never guaranteed. We always observe these endangered animals respectfully from a distance without disturbing their natural behaviour.
